We are always delighted to welcome the youngest members of your family to Prime Dental and offer gentle, all-round care for developing teeth. It’s a good idea to bring youngsters to see us from as early an age as possible so we can spot any potential problems and they can get used to visiting the practice. Teeth first start to come through when your baby is around six months old, so that’s the perfect time for their first visit.

We always make sure children feel comfortable about coming for regular check-ups and try to make their experience as enjoyable as possible. We also teach them the best way to care for their teeth, including brushing techniques and interdental cleaning.

We can apply fissure sealants and fluoride varnishes to protect and strengthen permanent teeth as soon as they start to emerge.

As your children get older, we continue to monitor their development and check if they need orthodontic treatment. If their teeth are not developing correctly, we will intercept at an early stage to ensure any treatment is as simple as possible. We can refer them to our in-house orthodontist or an orthodontist of your choice.
